CTW Summer Intensive

2^nd Annual Summer Intensive!

August 11 – 22, 2014

9:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday-Friday

The Program: August 11-15 & 18-22

The Children’s Theater Workshop will be running a two-week intensive this summer for children ages 8 - 13. The program is intended to continue the development of your child’s theatrical skills. Workshop lessons will focus on character development, storytelling, acting through song and dance and movement.

The Audition will take place on Monday, August 11

All participants will be required to audition. However, we will spend Monday morning developing some audition skills! This audition is for the purpose of finding the right role for them for the program and to give the students the experience of a typical open audition in an easy-going, fun, non-competitive environment. Participants have the option of bringing a prepared monologue or solo song of 16-32 bars to refine if they so choose.

The Showcase: August 22 at 7:30

The 2 weeks of learning will culminate in a workshop performance that showcases the participants’ newly honed skills. This showcase will take place Friday, August 22 at 7:30.

Cost: $500

Cost of the two-week program is $500. A non-refundable $100 deposit should be returned with a completed registration form. The balance will be due at on the first day of the intensive, August 11^th.

Participants will need to provide their own lunch, snacks and water each day.

This program will be run under the direction of Kelly Murphy and Rachel Fennell
