Below are important details for cast and crew when working with Burlington Players.
All adult volunteers and paid staff of the Children's Theater Workshop (CTW) and Winnmere Family Theater (WFT) programs are required by Massachusetts state law (M.G.L. c. 6 § 172H) to have a criminal background check obtained through the Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) system prior to their engagement. The Players will also CORI cast and staff for other productions and activities that include children under 18.
This includes for example:
All adult staff
Parent mentors, monitors or helpers
Concession, usher, and box office staff
Stage managers, Stage crew, and Booth operators
Adult actors that perform in CTW or WFT productions
Before a background check can be made, we must have your permission. A form can be found by clicking here. We can only accept hard copy with a 'wet signature'. We also need to verify your identity with a government issued unexpired photo ID (e.g. Driver's License).
CORI information is confidential and is only handled according to our CORI policy found here. We also have approved Child Protection Policies located here. Please direct any questions or concerns to our CORI Representative, West Rose Wes@BurlingtonPlayers.com.
