Children's Theater Workshop

Class sizes will be very limited this year to allow for distancing, and students and teachers will wear masks at all times indoors.
If we can't continue to meet in-person safely, we'll move the program online for the remainder of the session.

Children's Theater Workshop is run by the Burlington Players under the sponsorship of the Burlington Recreation Department and has run continuously since 1973. New students are accepted each fall. The season begins with Creative Dramatics classes for students in grades 1-7. Students return in January for the spring session, which finishes with a production in late March or early April.

Creative Dramatics helps develop kids’ imagination, voice, body movement, storytelling, character creation, and other fun performance skills. Working on a show teaches teamwork and cooperation while building confidence.

Class Times: Classes meet once a week and are 50 minutes long. There are four times offered: either 5PM - 5:50PM or 6PM - 6:50PM on either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.

Class Dates: September 14/15 – November 9/10. The fall session is 9 weeks long. New students are accepted only in the fall.

Class Location: Creative Dramatics is running in person at the Burlington Park Playhouse.

Tuition: $95 for the 9-class session of Creative Dramatics. Financial aid is available if the registration fee will create a hardship.
